Jubilee Health Insurance, the leading health insurer in the region, has awarded a free one-year medical cover valued at Ksh 1 million to Prince Indah.

This was in recognition of his outstanding achievement as the Male Video of the Year at the 9th edition of the Pulse Music Video Gala Awards.

The sponsorship not only celebrates artistic excellence but also underscores Jubilee Health Insurance’s commitment to supporting the arts and the broader gig economy that plays a pivotal role in driving economic development.

The gig economy is a way of working where people do short-term freelancing jobs instead of traditional full-time jobs.

Artists and creatives, such as Prince Indah, are at the forefront of this transformation, leveraging digital platforms, fostering innovation, and building cohesive communities.

The freelance economy, while democratizing access to global audiences, has also presented unique challenges, including irregular income levels.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Jubilee Health Insurance CEO and Principal Officer Njeri Jomo highlighted the importance of recognizing the unique needs of individuals within the flexible work market.

She emphasized the role of art in driving national cohesion and economic growth.

“We understand the pivotal role that the music industry and the broader gig economy play in driving innovation and fostering cultural diversity.

“By supporting initiatives like the Pulse Awards, we aim to empower artists to focus on their craft without compromising their well-being,” said Njeri.

The Pulse Awards serve as a platform to celebrate individuals excelling in their niches, building engaged communities.

At the same time, Standard Group CEO Joe Munene emphasized the transformative impact of corporate sponsorships on motivating artists within the gig economy.

“We are grateful for the invaluable support from Jubilee Health Insurance towards the Pulse Awards.

“Partnerships like this will amplify the creative spirit while unlocking the immense potential presented by the freelance market,” said Joe Munene.

Meanwhile, Prince Indah expressed his gratitude to Jubilee Health Insurance, noting that the medical cover award will play a key role in ensuring his health needs are well covered.

“I am deeply moved by the gesture Jubilee Health Insurance has shown in recognition of my craft.

“This is a reassuring reminder that our health is indeed our greatest wealth. I appreciate the company for championing the welfare of artists like myself,” stated Prince Indah.

In addition, the health insurer congratulated Prince Indah and appreciated the Pulse Music Video Awards for providing a platform to celebrate and honor outstanding talent.
