The Kenya U17 Women’s national team, Junior Starlets, is set to compete in two important friendly matches against Morocco U17 with the encounters being part of their preparations for the upcoming third round of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
The friendly matches will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on the following dates: Friday, April 4th, 2025, and Monday, April 7th, 2025, both at 9 PM EAT.
These fixtures come at a pivotal moment for the Junior Starlets as they gear up for a critical two-legged qualifier against Cameroon. The first leg is scheduled for Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Nyayo Stadium, with the return match taking place on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Stade Olembe.
The aggregate winner of this matchup will secure a coveted spot in the 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Morocco from October 17 to November 8, 2025.
The Junior Starlets earned their place in the third round following a commendable performance against Uganda in the previous stage. Their display of skill, determination, and resilience allowed them to overcome their regional rivals.
Head Coach Mildred Cheche has underscored the significance of the upcoming friendlies in preparing the team for the challenge ahead.
