Juventus Midfielder Paul Pogba tests positive for Testosterone again

SportsWORLD

French international and former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is facing a four-year ban after testing positive for Testosterone.

The Juventus star is confirmed to broken the anti doping regulations after his blood tested positive for testosterone ,a hormone that increases athletes’ endurance .

This is a counter-analysis test that confirm results of the first test done on him in August following Juventus’ Serie A game against Udinese , when he was an unused substitute.

In September the Italian federation had handed the Frenchman provisional suspension for the doping offense.

Pogba has taken in just 12 appearances for Juventus since re-joining the club, with injury problems proving difficult to shake during the 2022-23 season.

It is reported that Pogba allegedly did not pass his initial drug test due to the medication he consumed while on Juventus’ pre-season tour of America, a medication that had not been prescribed by the club’s medical team.

When that first adverse sample came back positive, a statement issued by Pogba’s representative Rafaela Pimenta said: “We are waiting for the counter-analysis and until then we can’t say anything. The certain thing is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break the rules.”

Juventus are currently deliberating on how to address Pogba’s contract situation, given that the Frenchman still has nearly three years remaining on his present agreement.
