Kikuyu gospel musician Karangu Muraya has cleared KSh1 million hospital bill for rapper-turned-mugithi artist Miracle Baby (real name Peter Mwangi).
Muraya visited Miracle Baby who is admitted in a Kiambu hospital on Wednesday, January 24.
He met Miracle Baby’s partner Carol Katrue who appealed for help to raise KSh1 million bill which had accumulated over the past week.
The mugithi artist underwent surgery on Thursday last week after suffering intestinal rapture.
It appears that Miracle Baby had been battling intestinal obstruction since 2018 and has been under medication until the situation got worse last week.
“On Wednesday, it was noticed that his stomach was swollen, he was neither eating nor relieving himself. He was rushed to an urgent surgery. It was discovered that his intestines had burst and poured faeces all over the stomach.
“His other intestines were burnt as well. He was cleaned but his wound was removing pus. His infection was very high. He has been on oxygen, his pulse rate has been very high,” she explained.
The philanthropist in his usual element mobilized his supporters to fundraise towards the KSh1,020,000 medical bill.
In a social media post on Thursday morning, Karangu Muraya announced that the online fundraiser was a success.
“Last night was a great moment for our brother Miracle Baby who have been admitted in a hospital in Kiambu.
“As per yesterday, his bill was over one million and by the grace of God, we were able to clear it all…. May Jehovah bless you all for supporting him and may our brother receive total recovery,” the gospel artist wrote.
Carol Katrue stated that her partner would undergo another surgery in six weeks to reinstate the remaining intestines which burst into their rightful position.
The young couple have one child named Rhonix. Carol Katrue gave birth in February 2023.
