Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu revealed that she did not know that Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki was married.
In a bid to save face, she told her side of the story, saying that she came to learn of his marital status four months in.
” Can you believe I did not know Samidoh was married? He was not even wearing his ring,” she said on Jalang’o TV in July 2022.
“I was actually told by Mafirifiri (former Nominated Nairobi MCA Mary Njambi),” she added.
“I have a problem with people thinking I am a home wrecker and that I am trying to compete with the wife” said the nominated senator.
The two have sired two children together but their relationship has been marred with drama between the senator, Samidoh and his wife Edday Nderitu.
Recently, Edday asserted that she cannot be in a polygamous relationship confirming that she was now separated from Samidoh and relocated to the United States.
“I am not in any polygamous marriage as stated I left the husband for whoever needed him more,
“I made a decision to remove myself and my kids from that toxic environment especially my teen daughter who unfortunately is the direct recipient of unbelievable behaviour displayed,” she wrote on her social media.
The two women, senator Nyamu and Edday have been known to throw jabs at each other on social media.
Soon after Edday left the country, Karen posted pictures of her and Samidoh during Samidoh’s younger brother graduation party.
Fans teased her saying she was now first lady to which she responded by saying,
“I was very willing to share but…”
Samidoh however released a new song titled ‘Wendo Witu’ which was assumed to be a message to his wife Eddah by his fans.
“From the beginning of our love that is now gone, I was the one in the wrong,
“I feel bad that you left and discarded our agreement. I still love you in my heart.
” I am the one who got you from your parents and I told them I will take care of you. That is why I want you to come back home we take care of the children” says Samido in the song.
