Kawira, known for her role in Papa Shirandula, and her husband Ephantus Safari went their separate ways in 2022.

Ephantus Safari, her ex-husband, has now shed light on what led to the breakdown of their marriage and shared some intimate details about their relationship.

In an interview, Ephantus Safari candidly discussed what initially drew him from Kawira.

Further, the subsequent challenges they faced in their union.

He revealed that they met in 2013 during a significant event at St. Andrews Nairobi, where they were in need of an MC.

It was during this event that Ephantus was captivated by her poise and stage presence.

He recounted a rainy night when they offered her a ride home, and she declined, leaving a lasting impression.

Ephantus candidly shared, “The following day, going to the office, I told them, ‘You see that lady I gave a lift yesterday, she will be the mother of my kids.’

And maybe that’s where I never thought it through, I said the mother of my kids and not my wife.”

The marital discord, according to Ephantus, escalated when Kawira’s mother moved in with them after the birth of their child.

He believed that her presence interfered with their attempts to resolve their issues privately, contributing to their separation in October 2022.

Additionally, Ephantus disclosed a challenging moment in their relationship when they lost their first pregnancy due to Kawira’s health concerns.

Their initial plan was to wait two years before having children, but they encountered external pressures and decided to conceive.

Unfortunately, their first pregnancy turned out to be a blighted ovum, leading the doctor to recommend termination.

Following this heartbreaking event, they waited for two months before being blessed with triplets.
