Chepkemei expressed her gratitude for the recognition, stating, It is an honor to be named among Africa’s most influential CEOs. This award reflects the hard work of our team at KTB in positioning Kenya as a leading tourism destination.” She reaffirmed her commitment to fostering collaboration among stakeholders to further develop the industry and create opportunities for local communities.

Before joining KTB, Chepkemei served as Managing Director at the Kenya Investment Authority and held key marketing and communication roles at Konza Technopolis Development Authority and Safaricom Ltd. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from Moi University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Science, she is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya.

Chepkemei’s latest honor adds to an already impressive list of accolades, including Top 25 Women in Digital 2021 and Top 40 Under 40 Women in Kenya 2023. With her visionary leadership, Kenya’s tourism sector is poised for remarkable growth on the global stage.
