Cape Media Limited has announced the appointment of renowned journalist and lawyer Ken Mijungu, effective February 7, 2025. Mijungu, widely recognized for his expertise in political journalism, will be joining the company’s television station, TV47.
With his vast experience in journalism and law, Mijungu is expected to significantly enhance TV47’s editorial strength and bring in-depth political analysis to its programming.
Ken Mijungu’s Journalism Journey
Mijungu began his career in journalism during the 2007/2008 post-election period and has since worked with some of Kenya’s top media houses as a news editor, anchor, and talk show host. His extensive experience in political reporting and legal analysis makes him a valuable addition to TV47’s newsroom.

Mijungu’s appointment coincides with TV47’s transition from DSTV Channel 268 to Channel 274, effective February 12, 2025. This move marks a new phase for the station as it continues to expand its audience reach and strengthen its position in the media landscape.
