KeNHA announces month-long traffic disruption on Waiyaki Way, to pave way for construction of Kangemi Bridge

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced temporary disruption of traffic at the Kangemi Interchange along Waiyaki Way, Nairobi.

KeNHA says that this disruption of traffic is meant for the scheduled constructions works at the Kangemi Bridge, starting from December 11, 2024 to January 17, 2025.

The authority says that the construction works will be done in two phases. In the first phase, Nairobi bound traffic (left hand side) will be diverted to the right hand side from Wednesday, December 11, 2024 to Monday, December 26, 2024. In the second phase, Nakuru/Rironi bound traffic (right hand side) will be diverted to the left hand side from Saturday, December 28, 2024 to Friday, January 17, 2025.

“KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan below and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site,” KeNHA implores motorists using the affected road section.
