The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) states that there will be an 8-hour traffic disruption along Mombasa Road between 10:00pm on Saturday, April 26,2025 and 6:00am on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
In a notice on Sunday morning, KeNHA stated that the disruption is set to allow for the installation of the fabricated footbridge beams at Katani junction.
Motorists are advised to cooperate with traffic marshals and police on site on that day for a smooth process.
“This is to allow for the installation of the fabricated footbridge beams and motorists are advised to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site.” KENHA stated

A detailed map included in the notice highlights affected routes, closed points, and diversion paths to assist drivers in navigating the temporary changes. Key landmarks such as Syokimau, Katani, and Mlolongo are part of the affected section of the road.
