Kenya has been placed in Group B of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) U-20 CECAFA qualifiers, scheduled in Dar es Salaam from October 6-20, 2024. The group stage will see Kenya face tough competition from hosts Tanzania and Rwanda, Sudan, and Djibouti.
Defending CECAFA champions Uganda have been drawn in Group A, where they will compete against the last edition’s finalists South Sudan, along with Burundi and Ethiopia.
Venues and Tournament Structure
The tournament matches will be held across three venues: Azam Complex, KMC Stadium, and Major General Isamuhyo Stadium. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, and the two finalists will earn the opportunity to represent the CECAFA region at the AFCON U-20 tournament next year.

- Group A: Uganda, South Sudan, Burundi, Ethiopia
- Group B: Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, Rwanda, Djibouti
With the tournament promising high stakes and competitive matchups, Kenya will be looking to secure a top-two finish in their group to advance to the knockout stage and vie for a spot in the AFCON U-20 tournament.
