Kenya Meteorological department has issued a warning about heavy rainfall in Nairobi and other regions.

The rain is expected to start on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 3 pm and continue until March 11 at 9 pm.

The rainfall could lead to flooding in some areas.

The heaviest rain is expected in the Lake Victoria Basin and Rift Valley, with more than 20mm of rain in 24 hours.

According to Kenya Met, heavy rainfall is expected in several parts of the country on March 9, 2025.

Among the areas include; the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley, Nairobi, and the southeastern lowlands.

The rainfall is expected to be more than 20mm in 24 hours.
