Kenya Morans finished second after a nail-biting loss to Madagascar by just two points. The first half was a defensive stalemate, with both teams locking horns in a tight contest. The tension broke in the second half when Joel Inzuga deftly slipped through Madagascar’s defence to score the first try, though the conversion was missed.
Madagascar struck back with a swift counter-attack, scoring a try and successfully converting it, edging ahead of the Morans. Despite their fierce effort, the Morans couldn’t close the gap.
The Morans’ pool journey began on a high note with a dominating 40-0 victory against hosts Mauritius, followed by an impressive 25-0 win over Nigeria. Morans will be facing the top of Pool C tomorrow at the quarterfinals, at 8:22 AM, EAT.
