Kenya Police clinched the 2024 FKF Cup title after beating KCB 8-7 in post-match penalties. The match ended 0-0 in regulation and extra time.
Patrick Matasi scored the winning penalty, securing a CAF Confederation Cup slot and Kshs 2 million for Kenya Police.
AFC Leopards’ Arthur Gitego bagged the Golden Boot award, while Kenya Police’s David Owino won the Most Valuable Player award.
Kenya Police’s goalkeeper, Patrick Matasi, maintained four clean sheets throughout the tournament, earning him the Golden Glove award.
Earlier, AFC Leopards finished third in the FKF Cup Tournament after edging past Kariobangi Sharks 2-1.
Victor Omune opened the scoring for AFC Leopards in the 15th minute. Randy Bakari made it 2-0 in the 35th minute, giving the team a first-half advantage.
Kariobangi Sharks’ Keith Imbali pulled one back in the 74th minute.
Up next for Kenya Police is the CAF Confederation Cup, set to be held later in July.
