Nine counties will be affected by power interruptions today (Tuesday, May 14), Kenya Power announces.
These are reportedly to facilitate network maintenance across the affected areas even as the heavy rains continue causing damage in the country.
In Nairobi County, the larger Buruburu area will be out of power from 9am to 5pm. Specific areas include; Part of Kimathi Est, Jerusalem, Jericho, Metro Villas, Harambee Est, Uhuru Est, Part of Buru Ph1, Buruburu Pri & adjacent customers.
Uasin Gishu County
Kapseret Lemook, Kapseret, Mosombor, Shajnaand Quarry, Chinese Quarry, Nilkath Quarry, Kapteldon and adjacent customers will face power outages from 9:30am to 5pm.
Nandi County
Emdin Lelmokwo, Kwa Philip Magut, Kipkongorwa and adjacent customers will be affected by power interruptions from 10am to 3pm.
Siaya County
Simenya, Kodiaga, Maliera Sch, Sirembe, Lundha, Gogo Mkt, Nyangweso, Siriwo & adjacent customers will be affected from 9am to 5pm.
Kisii County
Embonga Hotel, Kisii East Garage, CITAM Church, Senti, Botori SDA, Marshpark Hotel, Bosongo Hosp, Le-Premier Hotel, Kisii Junction Hotel, Mwenzangu Building & adjacent customers will face outages from 7:20am to 2:20pm.
Nyeri County
P G Mureithi, Kagayu, Thunguma Mkt & Sch, Ndunyu & adjacent customers will also be in the dark from 8am to 4pm.
Kilifi County
Marereni, Gongoni, Krystalline Salt, Kensalt Salt, Marafa, Malindi Salt, KEMU Salt, Mwembe Resort, Savanna, Adu, Ngomeni, Kabicha Water & adjacent customers will be out of power from 9am to 5pm.
Lamu County
Whole of Lamu Island, Mpeketoni, Hindi, Mokowe, Witu, Kipini, MOA Village, Nyongoro, Kenya Navy, KPA Lamu & adjacent customers will face interruptions from 9am to 5pm.
Tana River County
Garsen, Hola, Masalani, Bura, Mango Plant, Makutano, Mau Mau Sec Charidende Mkt & adjacent customers to face power outages from 8am to 5pm.
