Kenya Table Tennis Association (KTTA) and STAG announced a groundbreaking partnership that will see the Indian sports manufacturer facilitate equipment support to the Association through to 2028.
KTTA President Andrew Mudibo revealed that the three-year deal will enable the world-renowned sports brand support Kenya with an assortment of table tennis equipment ranging from branded attire, rubbers, tables, surrounds, rubbers, bats, balls, shoes and so much more.
Speaking from Doha where the deal was signed, Mr Mudibo noted that the deal will continue to see the leading sports equipment firm design and supply kit to KTTA with an exclusive range of tailormade branded merchandise.
Mr Mudibo also added that the new sponsorship will further enhance Kenyan table tennis fraternity work to inspire future elite athletes with STAG providing equipment and sportswear support for youth.
The sponsorship is valued at Ksh 21 million. STAG is an Indian firm with a sizable network of branches in Europe and Asia.
Mudibo thanked STAG for its generous support adding: “We are delighted to sign a new partnership deal with STAG until June 2028.
Being a globally recognized brand, I am particularly pleased, as part of the new agreement, that STAG will inspire countless youthful Kenyan athletes realize their table tennis potential, hence helping to nurture the next generation of elite athletes.”
Mr Mudibo added that the feedback on the quality of the kit from athletes, clubs, coaches globally has always informed STAG’s position as a leader in sports equipment solutions.
Vivek Kohli, CEO and owner of STAG, on his part, remarked: “At STAG we are passionate about working with athletes across all age ranges and abilities and our partnership with Kenya Table Tennis will enable us to connect with elite and less-privileged athletes as well as whip up their enthusiasm at all levels of the sport.”
Kohli added that they are glad to support the youth development initiatives in Africa by provide sportswear and equipment boost that inspire young budding talents perform at grassroots and highest level.
