Kenyan PhD student travels by road to the northern most point of Europe in Norway

Kenyan PhD student Kim Musau has achieved a remarkable feat by reaching Nordkapp in Norway from Kenya.

Musau undertook the eight month drive in a landrover defender 110 beginning in Nairobi on January 23.

However it is not his first time achieving such a stance ,he previously took road trips driving from to South Africa and Egypt.

He has reveled that the motivation behind the expedition is adventure.

At the start Musau’s aspiration was to explore 30 European countries.

In what seems an expensive venture Musau says that it has costed him less than one million Kenya Shillings on fuel and other car-related expenditures.

However it has not been an easy venture as he has passed through numerous challenges in the eight months.

To reach Europe, Musau had to traverse South, Central, West, and North Africa.

His dream nearly came to an abrupt stop, when he was denied entry at the Senegal border.

This came at time when Kenyans were expecting to receive a visa free entry to Senegal.

However he changed his route going through Guinea- Bissau

It did not end their ,Musua missed the ferry and was subjected to a 9 hour wait in Lofoten Island.

Norway

The former CEO of the Machakos County Investment Authority, who currently manages a family business, states that he is personally financing his expedition.

Upon his arrival to his destination, Musau hoisted the Kenyan flag.

“We made it to the Northern Cape, the northmost point of mainland Europe. First Kenyan in a Kenyan car, the first of a kind,” Musau celebrated the milestone.
