Kenya’s Juliana Anyango has finished third,clinching the Bronze medal in the Women’s 81 kg category of the Weightlifting competition of the African Games going on in Accra Ghana.
She accumulated a combined score of 165 points, behind winner Sara Samir Elsayed of Egypt (240 points) and Cameroon’s Jean Gaelle with 209 points
Anyango had returned a score of 73 points in the 81kg snatch and a further 92 in the 81kg clean and jerk.
Earlier another Kenyan Esther Kavesa also clinched bronze in the women’s 45kg category with 115 points, behind Egyptian Ramadan Abdelwahab who clinched gold with 127 points as Algerian Nadia Katbi came second with 123.
In the men’s Category Kenya’s Joshua Amunga, finished fifth in the men’s 61kg category with a total of 206 points.
On the other hand Compatriot Frankline Omondi finished seventh after accumulating a combined score of 231 points in the men’s 73Kg Category.
