Kenyans on social media were irked after spotting mugithi artists DJ Fatxo (real name Lawrence Njuguna) and Samidoh (real name Samuel Muchoki together.
Samidoh recently returned to the country after his trip to the United States where he visited his estranged wife and their three children.
He travelled towards the end of January this year to reunite with his family in Boston state, eight months after they left Kenya.
The mugithi sensation was however spotted in the company of his “rival” DJ Fatxo alongside former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
The three, among other unidentified men were hanging out together at Habanos Lounge, Kiambu Road.
One particular photo where the two sat near each other all smiles, caught the attention of netizens. The images were first shared by DJ Fatxo.
Kenyans expressed mixed reactions to the images, although an overwhelming number questioned when the two mended fences after the controversial demise of Samidoh’s nephew Jeff Mwathi.
Mwathi, who was 23, reportedly jumped to his death from DJ Fatxo’s house located in Kasarani estate in February last year.
The case, which earned public interest, put DJ Fatxo on the spot after he was accused of Mwathi’s death. However months later, he was acquitted by the court after Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) completed their findings.
Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) which had taken up the case, established that DJ Fatxo was not involved in the incident as he was away when it occurred.
Lawrence Njuguna’s acquittal was primarily based on CCTV footage from the apartment which showed him leaving in the company of some females and returning after the tragedy had occurred.
A section of Kenyans raised eyebrows on their apparently renewed connection.
“Samido na Fatxo hanging out small world,” Teddy Gavin commented.
“Uyo ni Samidoh ama macho yangu hayaoni vizuri,” Aggie Chao Chao wrote.
“Samidoh na Fatxo together, useless Jeff uncle,” Julia Maina added.
“RIP Jeff” Joy Baver added.
