Kenyans slam Morara Kebaso after asking youth to raise KSh1.5B for his presidential campaign

Inject Party leader Morara Kebaso has sparked a political storm with a rousing call to Kenya’s youth, urging them to take the reins of leadership and rewrite history in the 2027 General Election.

Through his social media platforms, Kebaso unveiled an ambitious plan—raise KSh1.5 billion by asking 15 million Kenyans to each contribute just KSh100 to fund a people-powered presidential campaign.

“15 million young people, if we contribute KSh100 each that’s KSh1.5 billion, that’s enough to fund our campaigns and we will win the presidency, just KSh100 and we win,” Kebaso stated.

Kebaso didn’t hold back as he took a swipe at the traditional political class, accusing the current opposition of being “completely compromised” and that they are betraying the public trust.

He declared that the real opposition now is the youth who are bold enough to demand real change.

“The opposition in Kenya is completely compromised, that’s why I keep telling the Gen Zs and the young people in Kenya that you are the opposition, take that role and play it.”

He also went ahead and addressed critics who argue that Kenya has never had a young president, and that 2017 will not be an exception.

“Who told you that if it has never been done, it cannot be done? It can be done and it will be done,” Kebaso declared.

He went on to encourage young Kenyans to do more than vote. He called on them to actively participate in the 2027 elections by contesting seats in parliament, the senate, and county assemblies.

“I am telling all the young people, it is not enough to be a voter, go for the senatorial seats, go for the Members of Parliament seats, go for the governorship seats, go for the presidential seats.

“You are the ones who will change this country, don’t be sold the language of limitation by the devil,” he added.
