As the Olympics enter Day 12, Kenya has collected four medals. However, hope is not lost as more events, which are traditionally Kenya’s strongholds, are yet to take place.
This week’s events were filled with drama, from Amos Serem being pushed in the 3000m steeplechase to Faith Kipyegon’s disqualification and subsequent reinstatement in the 5000 meters.
Faith Kipyegon, a traditional 1500m runner, has qualified for the semi-finals and seeks to break her world record and achieve greatness at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In the remaining days of this week, a few finals are lined up where Kenya still has hopes of collecting more medals.
