Kidero: “Let’s allow Azimio to heal from 2022 election loss”

National NewsNews

Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition is still mourning 2022 Presidential Election loss, this is according to politician Evans Kidero.

Speaking on Wednesday, January 17 morning, the former Nairobi Governor said Azimio — Raila Odinga’s ODM Party in particular — is still reeling from the shock of losing elections, and are going through the five stages of grief.

Kidero was reacting to comments by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, who touched on the line that the opposition coalition respects Chief Justice Martha Koome despite ruling against them in the 2022 Presidential Election Petition.

“I know that they are still mourning the loss of elections in 2022. For the longest time they were living in denial they even said President William Ruto was not their president. When they move from the stage of denial they go to anger and we have seen the ODM brigade are very angry and what they are displaying… is anger,” Kidero said on K24 TV.

‘Let’s allow them to heal’

Kidero made a rallying call to Kenyans to excuse the “visibly angry” Azimio politicians to rant and complete the five stages of grief.

“They are going to be in a third stage of depression, then they’ll go to the fourth stage of negotiation and then acceptance so let’s allow them to tone down.”
