She said if people wanted Raila to be president they should have voted for him in large numbers to become president.

“I want to know what mistake Raila has made. People who did not vote for Raila in 2022 are the ones complaining after the Raila-Ruto deal, yet this deal is aimed at uniting the country,” said the Malindi MP.

Mnyazi said it was strange that people never voted for Raila but are now against the handshake and emphasized that more is yet to come after the two principals signed the agreement to work together.

Elsewhere former Cabinet secretary Aisha Jumwa who is now the chairman of Kenya Roads Board also commended the action of the president and Raila, saying it is going to bring peace in the nation.

However she called on them to ensure the 50/50 power sharing positions to ensure women are given priority.
