King Charles III hospitalized due to cancer treatment side effects

King Charles III was rushed to the hospital on Thursday after experiencing complications from his ongoing cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace confirmed.

Doctors monitored him briefly before sending him home to Clarence House, where he is now recovering.

The 74-year-old monarch, who was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February last year, had initially undergone medical tests following a procedure for an enlarged prostate.

While details remain scarce, the palace assured the public that the hospital visit was a precautionary measure.

Royal Schedule Disrupted

As a result of his health setback, King Charles has been forced to cancel his planned engagements for Friday.

Including four public appearances in Birmingham.

On Thursday, he was also meant to receive credentials from three ambassadors, but those meetings were called off.

Royal duties put on hold

A palace spokesperson acknowledged the King’s frustration, saying he was “greatly disappointed” to miss these events.

However, he hopes they will be rescheduled soon and expressed his sincere apologies to those who had worked hard to organize them.

Despite this health scare, Charles remains committed to his royal duties.

Moreover, he is still expected to visit Italy next month alongside Queen Camilla, where he hopes to meet Pope Francis.
