Kenyan rapper King Kaka is proving he’s not just a lyrical genius but also a pro in the kitchen!
In a touching display of fatherhood, the award-winning artist recently shared a heartwarming moment on social media, where he cooked a delicious meal for his children.
The day started with a simple shopping trip.
Accompanied by his eldest daughter, Gweth, King Kaka picked up fresh coriander (dhania) and capsicum (hoho) from a local market.

On their drive back home, he jokingly admitted in a video that he had momentarily forgotten these ingredients were actually meant for cooking.
Given the rapper separated from his wife Nana Owiti months ago.
“So we took a drive… OMG!” he laughed.
Once home, the rapper wasted no time getting to work in the kitchen.
In a video posted on Instagram, he meticulously cleaned the utensils from breakfast before diving into the cooking process.
With precision and focus, he chopped vegetables, seasoned the meat, and stirred the pot like a seasoned chef.
“Had an amazing time with The Gang and my assistant chef, Geezy. Anyway, loving my new skill. Love looks like this!” he captioned the video.
As he cooked, King Kaka playfully suggested he should start doing professional cooking commentaries.
His fans were quick to agree, with film producer Jijo Drumbeats humorously suggesting he start narrating his steps like a TV chef.
The rapper responded enthusiastically, saying he was taking notes.
When it came time to decide on the meal’s accompaniment, King Kaka had his heart set on ugali.
However, in a democratic twist, his three children voted unanimously for rice.
With no choice but to bow to their wishes, he served up a hearty meal of tender meat, fluffy rice, and savoury gravy, much to their delight.
Their cheerful thanks confirmed the meal was a hit!
Whether he’s making hit songs or homemade meals, King Kaka continues to prove his dedication to family.
Just days before this unexpected cooking showcase, the rapper attended Crazy Kennar’s movie premiere with his three children, a project he had directed.
Dressed in elegant outfits by Liru Designs, the family turned heads on the red carpet.
