A 38-year-old woman is in police custody in Kirinyaga West sub-county for killing her boyfriend in Kagio town.
According to the local police commander, Moses Koskei, the woman surrendered herself to Kagio Police Station after stabbing her boyfriend five times.
“She stabbed him five times; inflicting two wounds on his thighs, and one in his private parts,” Koskei said.

Kirinyaga police report states that the couple, who had a troubled relationship, were living together along Baricho Road where they had rented their house.
“The two have rented the house along Baricho Road in this trading center, and we’ve been informed that they both come from the Gichugu constituency,” he added.

The police are still investigating the incident and have not yet found the murder weapon. They hope the suspect will reveal its location.
“We are expecting the suspect to tell us where she hid the weapon, which we will use as an exhibit,” Koskei stated.
The victim’s body has been taken to Kerugoya Referral Hospital’s mortuary while the police continue to probe the incident.
