Kisii: Man arrested for allegedly stabbing girlfriend to death

Police in Kisii are searching for a man who is accused for allegedly stabbing his 26-year-old girlfriend.

According to police, the deceased was working as a bartender at the bar where she was killed on January 8 at about 10 pm.

Her body was found lying in a pool of blood outside her work place hours after the murder.

The body had a deep wound on the neck inflicted by a sharp object.

According to witnesses, they saw the suspect escape the scene moments after the murder.

Police are yet to discover the motive behind the lady’s murder and want the man to surrender for questioning.

However, they are still looking for the suspect who is on the run.

Elsewhere, on 4th of January, a middle aged man was arrested for stabbing his 22-year-old girlfriend from Kisii Polytechnic.

On Thursday night, Stephen Orengo allegedly trailed Lucy Boke to her home and murdered her.

The suspect travelled from his home in Kuria West where he is on industrial attachment to Kisii’s Jogoo Estate to commit the crime.

Neighbors say that it was the first time they saw him around and were unaware of his intentions.

Lucy was murdered in her friend’s house.

Moreover, her friend Akinyi explained that lucy decided to part ways with Stephen because he was not providing for their 7 months child.

Detectives from Kisii Central Police Station searched the area and retrieved the kitchen knife purportedly used by the suspect in committing the murder.

The suspect is currently at the Kisii Police Station while the body is at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital awaiting autopsy.

The police are now calling on the youth to solve their disputes in a better way.
