In a heartbreaking accident early this morning, three police officers lost their lives.
Seven other men were seriously injured near Choma Choma Lounge along the Kisii-Migori Highway.
The tragic incident occurred around 4:30 AM when a vehicle, an Isuzu FRR with registration number KAT 201D, lost control.
The unknown driver crashed into several vehicles and struck pedestrians leaving the lounge.
The three deceased police officers, two men and one woman were from Nyanchwa Police Station.
The injured, including two more police officers, were rushed to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for urgent medical care.
The bodies of the fallen officers have been preserved at the same hospital’s mortuary.
The community is deeply mourning the loss of these dedicated officers and other victims.
