Kisii: UDA, Azimio MPs clash amid party wrangles

Police have launched investigations following an incident that occurred on Sunday May 5, 2024 in Kisii County where Azimio MPs clashed with UDA legislators.

This was after police lobbed teargas to disperse Azimio and UDA leaders and supporters who had clashed during a church service at Makonde PAG church, in Kinyenya Village, Borabu Constituency.

Chaos erupted after South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro was invited to address the gathering at a time when the Azimio leaders present had attacked the Kenya Kwanza government over failure to handle the floods crisis in the country.

The politicians from different parties had been invited for a fundraiser in the church.

Situations escalated when Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi accused the Kenya Kwanza Government of poor governance.
