Kisumu senator Tom Ojienda launched Achego sub-location assistant chief in Kisumu County office.
The embattled senator is seen cutting a ribbon at the wooden door of the mabati office holding a megaphone.
Ojienda who was elected on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket defended his decision to support government while launching the office.

Ojienda’s signs of development
“There are signs of development that you can see. And that is why I say I will always stand with the government because the government is the only way that you can bring development to your people,” he said.
Additionally, Ojienda said that he played a part in convincing Kenya Rural Roads Authority (Kerra) boss to approve the construction of a road.

Ojienda’s ODM fiascal
Professor Tom Ojienda maintained that he would continue woirking with President William Ruto after his expulsion from ODM.
Senator Ojienda was among MPs who were expelled over “gross misconduct and going against party position.”
But speaking few hours after the decision was announced, a defiant Senator Ojienda said he had no apology to make.
“My Party has today expelled me for working with HE President William Ruto. I have no apology and will continue to work with the President,” he affirmed.
ODM also expelled…
Those who were expelled include; MPs Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Felix Odiwuor (Lang’ata) and Senator Ojienda.
The lawmakers were part of ODM team that visited President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi earlier this year, irking the opposition party.
Rongo MP Paul Abuor and Uriri MP Mark Nyamita – who also attended the State House meeting – was reprimanded and fined KSh1 million each.
Abuor and Nyamita appeared in person before the party’s Disciplinary Committee and explained reasons for their actions.
