The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary general Collins Oyuu was on Monday morning involved in a road accident. The Nyanza Regional Traffic Enforcement Officer RTEO Allan Mwangi has confirmed.
Oyuu’s car rolled over as his driver was trying to avoid hitting a cyclist as the KNUT sec.gen was on his way to catch a flight at the Kisumu international Airport.
The accident happened in the morning near Kombewa on the Bondo-Kisumu route.
Oyuu and his driver escaped unharmed however the police have reported that the Cyclist was injured in the accident.
The police say they have already commenced investigations into the cause of the accident.
