Kona Legends, Arsenal Lirhembe, Titanic FC and Obucuun reach Cleo Malalah Super Cup penultimate stage

Kona Legends were the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Cleo Malalah Super Cup tournament.

The club from Likuyani Constituency, Kakamega County qualified for the last four after beating Compel FC from Webuye East Constituency, Bungoma County 3-0.

The match lived up to the hype and expectations of the hundreds of football fans that turned up at the Mumias Sports Complex.

In the second quarter final, Arsenal Lirhembe from Ikolomani Constituency, Kakamega County, proceeded to the semifinals at the expense of Kidundu FC.

Lirhembe won the match against the Vihiga County outfit courtesy of a solitary extra time goal.

In the third match, Titanic FC from Shinyalu Constituency in Kakamega County sailed to the semis after a hard-fought 1-0 win against Nyota FC from Mumias West Constituency, Kakamega County.

Match abandoned

The final quarter final match between Obocuun FC from Teso South and Namayenje from Matayos was on Friday, December 30 abandoned prematurely.

The outfits from Busia Country are currently facing off in a rematch for the final semi final berth.

Update

Obucuun have qualified for the semi finals after beating Namayenje Santos 2-1 on Saturday morning.
