The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) on Friday, January 19, released the 2023 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) results.
In 2023, 1,282,574 learners sat for their KPSEA.
The Ministry of Education had earlier announced that the results had been posted in the KNEC portal and could be accessed by parents and guardians.
The results were, however, released four days after the students reported to their respective schools on Monday, January 15. The Grade 6 students who proceeded to Grade 7 were the first to sit the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Speaking during Murang’a County Education Day on January 14, CS Ezekiel Machogu directed teachers to allow students to join Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) before the release of the results.
Students who could not purchase new uniforms were also asked to report with their Grade 6 ones as they continued with the transition.
Early this month, KNEC CEO David Njeng’ere said the KPSEA registration exercise will start on January 29 and end on March 2024.
“The registration of 2024 KPSEA and KCSE candidates to begin January 29 to March 29,” he said.
