The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) and HACO Industries have announced a new partnership, making Amara the Official Grooming Partner for the Kenya Simbas as they prepare for the upcoming Elgon Cup tournament in November.
This collaboration comes with a generous KES 1.5 million sponsorship to support the Simbas’ preparations.
During the partnership launch, HACO Industries Managing Director Mary-Ann Musangi expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “This landmark partnership with the Kenya Rugby Union aligns Amara with one of the most beloved sports in the country.
Just as the Simbas demonstrate strength and resilience on the field, Amara is committed to supporting them every step of the way, ensuring their skin is healthy and protected through every intense match. Our products, infused with natural African oils, are designed to cleanse, moisturize, and rejuvenate—keeping our athletes looking and feeling confident before, during, and after their games.”
Kenya Rugby Union Chairman Sasha Mutai expressed his gratitude towards Amara for their continued support of the Simbas, especially as the team aims to qualify for the 2027 Rugby World Cup. “This team, the Simbas, has the potential to take us to the Rugby World Cup.
Amara also supported the team when we went to Uganda for the Rugby Africa Cup (RAC),” he said. “The tournament showed us where we are as a country. We’re not yet at the top, but we have one year to work on the team and ensure we’re ready for the RWC Qualifiers next year.”
The Simbas Team Manager also thanked Amara for their unwavering support, noting that the brand has been a steadfast partner since 2019, when they supported Chipu during the Junior World Rugby Trophy. This year, Amara has once again stepped up to support the Simbas.
