KRU judicial panel reduces suspension for Kabras Buffaloes head coach Max Adaka

The independent judicial panel, convened under a referral by the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) on May 11, 2024, addressed a misconduct complaint arising from a letter written by Tournament Director Mike Mwanja, which alleged verbal abuse of match officials by Max Adaka, Head Coach of the Kabras Buffaloes Franchise.

After careful deliberation, the panel has determined that, on a balance of probabilities, acts of misconduct were committed by both Max Adaka and the Kabras Buffaloes Club.

Considering the provisional suspension already served, the conduct during the hearing, and the absence of a previous misconduct record, the Judicial Officer has decided to reduce the suspension by forty percent (40%).

This results in a reduced suspension of twelve (12) weeks from the effective date of June 28, 2024. This reduction is conditional on Max Adaka not breaching Regulation 20 during this period. If a breach occurs during this period, the full sanction will be applied.

The Judicial Officer presiding over this hearing was George Mbaye.
