Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) officers together with a veterinary team on Thursday, February 29 captured and translocated four buffaloes in Nazarene area, Kajiado County.
KWS says the four are among eight buffaloes that were posing a threat to residents of Nazarene area.
“The captured buffaloes were released inside Nairobi National Park, in an area with ample foraging space,” KWS says.
The agency said that it was combing the area to ensure the remaining four buffaloes are also moved to Nairobi National Park.
KWS is appealing to public to immediately report any sightings of stray wildlife via toll-free line at 0800 597 000, WhatsApp at 0726 610 509 or to the nearest KWS Station for immediate intervention.
