Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) successfully translocated a herd of 74 impalas from Olmogi farm of Kenya Nut in Naivasha to Tundra Conservancy in Laikipia.

Olmogi’s farm motivation behind this translocation stems from their desire to focus wholeheartedly on the dairy farming industry.

Olmogi farm of Kenya Nut is translocating the impalas because they want to focus on dairy farming.

Tundra Conservancy is an ideal sanctuary for the impalas, boasting ample space, rich vegetation and protected environment providing sustainable conditions for their conservation and well-being.

“All necessary precautions and protocols were followed throughout the translocation,” KWS says.

The translocation process, skillfully conducted under the supervision of experienced wildlife specialists and veterinarians, aimed to minimize stress and ensure the welfare of the impalas.
