Lady kills lover for cheating on her

A lady has stabbed her lover to death in Nakuru for allegedly cheating on her with other women.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, January 23 in Mwariki area within Nakuru, involving a female tenant and male neighbour who died on spot. 

According to the police report, the deceased was identified as Peter Njenga Muruga.

Police reported that the body of the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood on a sofa set with stab wounds on the left arm and eye.

In addition, neighbours told the police that the lady was in love with the late Peter Njenga, although they were quarreling most of the time over issues of cheating. 

However, the lady escaped after committing the crime, as she was not available at the time when police arrived at the scene of crime.

The body was moved to Nakuru Level five hospital mortuary as police launched investigations into the matter.

Police added that they have intensified the search for the suspect, although they did not reveal her details to the media. 

Meanwhile, the officers urged the residents to report any family disputes to the police instead of taking the law into their own hands.

The incident comes at a time when police were investigating the death of Rita Waeni who was murdered in Roysambu, Nairobi.

For instance, Police on January 22 arrested two Nigerian nationals in connection to the Rita Waeni murder.

The two were arrested in Ndenderu, Kiambu County as a hatchet, butcher knife and 6 mobile phones were recovered from their residence.

According to the police report, the two Nigerians, William Oyie Opia and Johnbull Asibor were arrested while in possession of items linking them to the murder and other criminal activities.

Meanwhile, the High Court has allowed the police to detain the two suspects for 8 days as officers continue with investigations.
