Leaders mourn Malava MP Malulu Injendi

Several leaders have continued to mourn the death of Malava member of parliament (MP)  Moses Malulu Injendi.

This was after MP Malulu Injendi passed away on February 17, 2025 at 5.15pm following treatment at Aga khan Hospital Nairobi .

Before his death, Injendi was a dedicated member for Malava constituency, and a passionate vice chairman of the departmental committee on education.

For instance, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula described the late Malava MP as a calm and dedicated legislator.

“As we come to terms with this great loss, let us remember Hon. Injendi for his remarkable service and the positive impact he had on our nation. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, constituents and all those who had the privilege of knowing him,” said Wetangula.

At the same time, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua described the late MP of Malava constituency as a calm and collected leader who looked at the interest of his people.

“The late Malulu Injendi, MP for Malava Constituency, was a calm and collected leader with community interests at heart. He was a  deeply religious man. 

“His passing on today has left a big gap in his family and the people of Malava Constituency. 

“Hon. Injendi was my close friend when we served in the 12th parliament. I am saddened by his death; my deepest sympathies to his family and the people of Malava Constituency and the great people of Western Kenya Region,” stated Gachagua.

Meanwhile, Parliament is in mourning following the passing of Malava MP Moses Malulu Injendi, a dedicated public servant whose leadership and commitment left a lasting impact on his constituents and the nation.

Leader of the Majority and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah described him as a passionate and committed legislator, whose tireless advocacy transformed lives in Malava.

“It is with heartfelt sympathy that we mourn a colleague and friend, Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi. His dedication to serving Malava and his unwavering commitment to uplifting his constituents were an inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside him in Parliament,” Ichung’wah said.

Reflecting on their time together, Ichung’wah praised Injendi’s integrity and leadership, emphasizing that his legacy would endure.

“I was honored to serve with him and will always remember his passion, integrity, and tireless advocacy for the people. His legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched,” he added.

Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa echoed these sentiments, hailing Injendi as an exemplary leader known for his level-headedness, selflessness, and ability to articulate issues with clarity and conviction.

“My condolences extend to his family, friends, and the constituents of Malava. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” said Barasa.

Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka expressed his sadness, remembering Injendi as a respected colleague and friend.

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of my colleague and friend, Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi, Malava Constituency Member of Parliament,” he tweeted.

Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang paid tribute to Injendi’s service and faith, acknowledging his life as one dedicated to the glory of God and the welfare of others.

“We give thanks for a life so well lived to God’s glory and in service to others. Give rest, O Christ, to thy servant with thy saints. May the Lord comfort his family, friends, and the people he served with such devotion. Rest in peace, Hon. Malulu Injendi.”

Likuyani MP Innocent Mugabe described Injendi as a selfless and visionary leader who devoted his life to uplifting Malava Constituency.

“Hon. Injendi embodied unwavering dedication and selflessness, devoting his life to uplifting Malava Constituency with humility and visionary purpose.
