Not even a school uniform adorned him as he bravely tried his luck, as depicted in videos circulating on social media.

His tale quickly became an internet sensation, triggering an outpour of support that manifested as nothing short of a miracle.

Fast forward to the 2023 KCSE results, and Levis Otieno has not only overcome the odds but has become the source of joy for his family.
With a remarkable B+ mean grade, he excelled in all seven subjects.
His lowest score was a B- in English – an impressive feat considering his humble beginnings at Kanga High School.
In the year 2020, NTV reported the saga of Levis Otieno Rabah.
He joined Kanga High School with a bare metallic box and two bars of soap, courtesy of his financially constrained parents.
Rabah scored a commendable 390 marks in KCPE.

Despite this, his family struggled to afford the essentials listed on the admission form – a bag, a uniform, and other necessities.

Jalang’o saving grace
Notably, comedian Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, took the lead among these well-wishers.
He not only spoke directly to the school principal at Kanga High School.
But also pledged to oversee the settlement of Levis Otieno’s four-year school fees.
Emphasizing the annual fee of KSh 53,000.
The journey that started with a simple step of faith, indeed, paid off handsomely.
