Lilian Ng’ang’a finally breaks silence on breakup with Juliani

Lilian Ng’ang’a has finally spoken about her long-rumoured breakup with celebrated hip-hop artist Julius Owino, popularly known as Juliani.

In an interview with Dr. Ofweneke, the author and former Machakos County First Lady shared her perspective on relationships, emphasizing the importance of knowing when to walk away.

She expressed that she does not believe in clinging to something that has run its course, preferring instead to cherish the memories and lessons before moving forward.

“I never struggle to hold on to something when its time is over.

I appreciate what we’ve had—memories or lessons—and then we just move on,” she stated.

Ng’ang’a also opened up about what draws her to a partner, revealing that intelligence is her biggest attraction.

However, she admitted that this preference has not always worked in her favour.

She values a man who can challenge her intellectually and introduce her to new ideas, rather than one who simply possesses physical appeal or social status.

“My weakness, I have come to realize, is that I’m attracted to intelligence, which doesn’t always pay off.

I like a man who stimulates my mind, who teaches me something new. It’s not about looks or status,” she explained.

Juliani’s subtle confirmation and social media speculation

Juliani previously confirmed their breakup in an interview but refrained from sharing details.

“Even my previous relationship was ongoing for two years before people knew about it,” he remarked.

Speculation about their split began circulating in September 2024 when fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on social media and had stopped engaging with each other’s posts.

As online discussions intensified, many questioned whether they had quietly ended their relationship.

Addressing the rumors in his own way, Juliani posted a cryptic message on social media:

“Wako bent kujua njia za G. Kenye wanapata ni letter katikati ya M and P.” (They are busy trying to dig into my private life but can’t find anything.)

Ng’ang’a and Juliani’s romance had been in the public eye since her highly publicized split from former Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, now Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection.

The couple exchanged vows in 2022 and later welcomed a son together.
