Seven counties will be affected by power interruptions today (Tuesday, May 28), Kenya Power announces.

These scheduled power outages are reportedly to facilitate network maintenance across the affected counties. This comes as the power connectivity company steps in to repair damaged power lines following heavy rains in the past few weeks.

In Nairobi County, power disruptions will be experienced from 9am to 5pm. Affected areas include; QMP, Budalangi, Kwa Kanyari.

Kiambu

Murera Coffee, Whole of Mugutha, Toll Station, Ruiru Golf Club, Shell Toll Station, Courtesy Beach, Titanic, Green Ridge, Mugutha Sec, Murera Pri, Tumaini Catholic Church, Mugutha One Four, Mukuyu Rd, Judea Est will face outages from 8:30am to 5pm.

Others listed are; PCEA, Mugutha Police, Neema Est, River Line, Est, Dam Ridge Est, Ruera Dam, Makaburi Village, Wakariuki, Apollos, Behind Spur Mall.

Also within Kiambu County areas of TTC, Gikambura Mkt, Riu Nderi, Gichuru Memorial, Jambu TV, Nairobi Ndogo will experience power disruptions from 9am to 5pm.

Kisumu

Wildor Sch, Kochieng Centre, Kalusi Mkt, Nyamonge, Tom Owour, Mayienya Sec, Chiga Mkt, Obumba Sch, Kasese Mkt, Masawa, Kasarani, Hera Church, Rweya, Bungu, Anywang will be in the dark from 9am to 2pm.

Migori

Tebesi, Mutiniti, Igena Itambe & adjacent customers will be affected from 9am to 5pm.

Kisii

Kegati Water Pump, Ekerore, Nyamemiso, Garanga Village & adjacent customers will face outages from 7:20am to 2:20pm.

Nyeri

Kwa George, Muruguru Booster, Marua, Ndakaini, FK Resort, Kinguka, Rukandu, Kuguru, Kiamuiru, Kigera, Githiru C/Fact, Kahiga, Gikunju Maternity will also be in the dark from 9am to 4pm.

Kirinyaga

Githure Mkt, Gatitu T/Fact, Kiamugumo Sec Sch, KCC Ngariama, Kamwana Mkt, Kavingara C/Fact, Kiambatha Poly & Mkt are set to experience power interruptions from 9am to 4pm.

Other listed areas in the county are; Kiamutugu, Mbiri, Part of PI Town, Shunem, Gaciongo, Muthegeini, Karucho & adjacent customers.
