In case President William Ruto initiates a reshuffle among his Principal Secretaries (PSs), Kenyans would want Immigration and Citizen Services PS Julius Bitok retained.
According to the latest survey by Politrack Africa, PS Bitok enjoys an approval rating of 76.5%, coming first among Kenya Kwanza Administration’s 51 PSs. PS Bitok is tied at position 1 with his Energy counterpart Alex Wachira.
Another PS who Kenyans who participated in the survey feel has performed exceptionally well is Public Health’s Mary Muthoni, who boasts an approval rating of 76.2%.
According to the survey—conducted in all the 47 counties between 4th-10th January 2025—Mining PS Elijah Mwangi (76.0%), Roads PS Eng. Joseph Mungai (73.4%), Parliamentary Affairs PS Aurelio Rono (72.2%) and Irrigation PS Ephantus Kimotho (70.1%) should be retained incase of a reshuffle.

The survey, released on Friday, February 21, also showed that a section of Kenyans were skeptical about President Ruto’s decision to form a broad-based government. 41.3% of Kenyans do not support the decision, while 36.7 percent are in favour.
Most of those who took part in the survey were of the opinion that President Ruto should not include individuals above 60 years in government roles, advocating for younger leaders with fresh ideas.
