DeVon Franklin has found his forever love!

The celebrated preacher and producer took a heartfelt leap, proposing to celebrity trainer Maria Castillo during a breathtaking sunset in Hawaii.

The romantic moment unfolded outside The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua, where Franklin orchestrated a surprise proposal disguised as a photo shoot.

“Finding Maria has been one of God’s greatest blessings, so I wanted the proposal to be as special as our love,” Franklin shared.

As they walked hand-in-hand along the beach, dressed in elegant white outfits, he led her to a grassy cliff overlooking the ocean.

That’s when the magic happened.

“This whole time has really been an engagement photo shoot,” Franklin revealed,

Catching Castillo completely off guard. Overcome with emotion, she gasped, dropped to the ground in disbelief, and asked,

“Baby, what are you doing?!” before watching him get down on one knee.

With a custom engagement ring in hand, he asked her to be his wife.

“I’m still in awe of how it all happened!” Castillo gushed.

Love at first sight

“It was such a beautiful surprise, and I can’t even put into words how happy I am.

To know I’ll be spending the rest of my life with this incredible man is a dream come true!”

Their love story began just a year ago when Castillo’s business partner, trainer Mike Trusdale, introduced them.

Believing they would be a perfect match, he set up a brunch where sparks instantly flew.

Since then, they have been inseparable, making their red carpet debut at The Pink Awards in October 2024 and stepping out again at the Merge Awards Gala a month later.

After slipping the sparkling diamond ring on her finger, Castillo excitedly jumped up and down before kissing her fiancé and telling him,

“You’re a beautiful human.” Franklin’s response was just as heartfelt: “We’re beautiful together.”

With their hearts full and their journey ahead, the newly engaged couple is ready to embark on a lifetime of love, faith, and shared dreams.
