Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti celebrates daughter as she turns 18

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has penned an emotional message to her daughter Alika Oduwole as she turns 18.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti threw her daughter a lavish party themed yellow and black to celebrate her entry to adulthood.

“It’s hard to believe that my baby girl has grown into a wonderful young woman. I am incredibly proud of the person you’ve become and excited to see the bright future that awaits you.

“May God’s blessings be with you every step of the way,” the county boss wrote.

She reminded her daughter Alika of her unwavering support despite entering a new phase that demands independence.

“As you embark on this new chapter of adulthood, remember that I will always be here to support and love you.

“May your day be filled with happiness, love, and all your heart’s desires. With all my love, Mom.”

Wavinya Ndeti, who is a single mother of three children, has never been shy to celebrate their achievements publicly.

Daniel Oduwole Graduates

Last year, she took to social media to congratulate her son Daniel Oduwole who emerged second in his class at Brookhouse School.

“Hearty congratulations dear son – Daniel Oduwole on your exemplary performance and the entire graduating class of 2022 from Brookhouse School.

“I wish you God’s blessings, protection and wisdom as you continue to pursue your dreams. Love you son,” she added.

Losing spouse

Wavinya Ndeti lost her Nigerian husband Joseph Henry Dolamu Oduwale in 2016.

Oduwale died in Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted after his blood pressure shot up drastically.

Wavinya met Oduwale in the early 1990s in the United Kingdom where they were both pursuing higher education.

They had a church wedding in the UK but solemnized their union in 2008 through a Kamba traditional ceremony in Kathiani.
