A mama mboga from Burma Market in Nairobi surprised members of New Life Church in Mombasa after she presented Ksh6 million cash to Pastor Ezekiel Odero.

In a video that has circulated on social media, the mama mboga was seeking Pastor Ezekiel’s assistance to pray and bless the cash.

The incident took place on February 3, 2024, as the business woman carried the money in a sack from Nairobi to Pastor Ezekiel’s church.

During the live church service, she explained that the money belonged to her son, who had concealed the money in dollar notes in his car.

When the officers found the dollars in the car, they drove to a nearby bank and changed the money into 10 million Kenya shillings.

The DCI officers then gave the Ksh6 million to the woman, as she was at her place of work at Burma market before disappearing with her son.

She told Pastor Ezekiel that she was confused because she does not know the source of the money.

“I don’t know what to say, my son and the DCI officers came to where I do my business and gave me the Ksh6 million, but I decided not to take the money to my house and I have come with the money here in church,” she said.

The woman disclosed that the money could be a reward or proceeds of crime, as she pleaded with the pastor to sanitize the money.
