Man linked to the murder of a US based Kenyan woman arrested while clubbing in Nairobi

It was all chaos in a Nairobi club, when police stormed the entertainment joint and arrested a man, believed to be a suspect of a US murder case.

Kevin Kang’ethe Kinyanjui was arrested in connection with the murder case of a 31-year-old Kenyan nurse based in the US, Margaret Mbitu.

Police successful arrested the suspect on Monday 29th 2024 in a club in Westlands, Nairobi following a tip off from the public.

The incident is believed to have happened between October 30, 2023 and November 4, 2023 in Boston, USA.

Kevin is currently being held at Gigiri Police Station as investigations continue to uncover what happened on November 7th 2023.

“We have a man believed to be the suspect who is wanted in the US over alleged murder. We are waiting for more profiling to know the way forward,” said the police.

Margaret’s mother revealed that she had revealed to break up with man before she lost her life.

The US police found Margaret’s lifeless body on November last year inside a car found in the US parking lot which belonged to the suspect.

Her body had visible knife wounds on her face, neck and chest.

Kevin has since been on the run after he allegedly committed the crime and flew back to Kenya.

The family of Margaret are calling on the police in order for justice to be served.
