A man in Nanyuki – Laikipia County has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for defiling his 13-year old step daughter.

During court proceedings, it was revealed that the man drugged the 13-year-old girl with an unknown substance sometime between June and September 2023 before committing the heinous act.

The prosecution, led by Prosecution Counsel Maina Kimaru, called 5 witnesses whose testimonies in court proved that between June 2023 and September 2023, the accused unlawfully and intentionally defiled his 13-year-old stepdaughter.

Justice Ben Mararo declared that the prosecution had successfully demonstrated the guilt of the accused beyond a reasonable doubt hence pronouncing the accused guilty as charged.
