Police arrested a middle-aged man on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet County for stoning his wife to death in Biretwo area.

Boniface Kokwon stoned his wife Ivy Chelagat to death after alleging that she had stolen from his shop and opened her own shop 100 meters away.

According to Simon Kiplagat, a resident, he found Chelagat dead, with her husband holding a knife and the stone he used to strike her head beside her body.

Witnesses of the incident said this was not the first time the man had beaten his wife.

In a similar incident, police in Kimilili arrested a 37-year-old man on Thursday, March 7, for killing his wife and her lover after finding them cheating in his house.

The incident occurred after the suspect discovered that his wife had engaged in intimate activity inside his rented apartment.

The man is said to have struck his wife and her lover with a stone, leading to their deaths.
