Man United will challenge Man City for the title – Sergio Aguero

SportsWORLD

Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero believes Manchester United possess a serious threat to City’s chances of winning a fourth consecutive Premier League title.

Aguero, who achieved multiple league victories with City, sees United as a real danger, despite their challenging start to the season.

Aguero said, “You can never underestimate Man United right now. They are a major threat to Man City’s Premier League title.”

Although Erik ten Hag’s team has faced difficulties, losing seven out of 17 league games, Aguero believes they, along with other teams, could disrupt City’s quest for history.

“I also think Tottenham is in the title race, showing improvement under Ange Postecoglou. Even with their ups and downs, Newcastle has a chance at the title as they always put up a fight,” added Aguero, 35.

The Treble winners aim to achieve an unprecedented fourth consecutive Premier League title, but Aguero acknowledges the competition.

Despite Manchester City’s earlier 3-0 victory over United at Old Trafford on October 29, recent struggles have put them five points behind the top spot.

In contrast, United secured a crucial point against Liverpool in their last outing, ending a streak of embarrassing defeats at Anfield with a goalless draw. This followed a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth eight days earlier.

United has not posed a significant title challenge since the era of Sir Alex Ferguson, consistently finishing in the top two but failing to threaten City’s dominance in the past decade.
